the gates: orange, 2005

36 individual photographs of Christo's gates, labeled with descriptions; goes with the gates:blue, and the gates:black in a triptych
The Gates Project is a study of Christo’s installation in Central Park a few years back. While many New Yorkers and most visitors were awed and humbled by the Gates, a significant number of New Yorkers grumbled and complained about them. This large photographic study explores the color, form and placement in the landscape by showing them three ways--in orange, blue and black and white.
